Jack Mackenroth - a good reason to watch Project Runway

Here's a very good reason to watch the new season of Project Runaway: Jack.

Jack is 38 and originally from Seattle, Washington and he used to be a swimmer, model and fashion designer. He graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a double degree in Fine Arts and Sociology (Damn it he was so close to us!). Jack has also received recognition as a competitive swimmer winning three All-American titles to his name and set a national record in the summer of 2006.

Besides being gorgeous and smart he has also always been very open about his positive HIV status since his diagnosis in 1990.

"According to a source who spoke with him, "He is saying he got kicked off not because he lost a challenge, but because he got a 'staph' infection and said his face blew up like the kid from 'Mask.'"

Staphylococcal skin infections can be especially serious for HIV-positive people. Some are also potentially infectious to others.
